The official Groundbreaking ceremony takes place May 17 at 10 am, 2035 NW 58th St
The day is here! We said farewell to the garden area late last summer, in the fall the cottages were fenced off then taken down, and now it is time for the earth-movers to break ground. A new thing is coming soon and you are invited to mark the occasion with city officials, community partners, and the neighborhood. Refreshments will be provided by the Edible Hope Kitchen.
From the developer: “St. Luke’s brings 84 affordable family apartments to Seattle’s amenity-rich Ballard neighborhood. Developed in partnership with St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, this new eight-story project is the result of a community-driven effort to bring affordable housing to a desirable and growing area. St. Luke’s will consist of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartment homes, and will be affordable to households earning 60% AMI and below for the City of Seattle. Planned amenities include a community room, bike storage, resident services, shared laundries on each floor, and a rooftop deck and play area.”
